Recruiting Friends on Deux Mille Douze

A mass email has been sent to 37 prospective travelers for Deux Mille Douze.

If you have any friends that did not receive the email, forward them the information for this blog site, or have them email linesoflatitude@gmail.com so they can be part of the planning of your summer 2012 trip.

let's plan this thing already

Hey there "almost senior"... you have been sent this blog because we need your help planning

                                   "Deux Mille Douze"...

Your name and email has been given to Lines of Latitude, a non-profit organization specifically designed in helping youth travel around the world.

Each trip is given a group name. Your group name was decided by one of your peers, "Deuxmilledouze" which means two thousand twelve in French.
                               2012-your graduation year!

In any case: you have been sent this blog because we need your help planning
                                   "Deux Mille Douze"...

The way that your senior trip is planned, is you post a comment below with your name and top three cities that you "just have to" visit.

From these posts, a travel route is created, and then we all vote and edit the route, so there are about 5 changes to the route before there is a perfect trip designed.

We also discuss costs. It is about 500 per city, and 2000 for travel costs, and there are options; you may sign up for the whole trip, or meet us in just 2, 3 or 4 cities, to fit your budget. Usually 2-3 days are spent in each city, and the trip leaves the day after your graduation ceremony. You have full control of this trip, do not think it is a "set" itinerary, we will work with you and your budget!

This is NOT a private school trip, so your cousins or friends from other schools may also attend. There has always been a question about keeping it a "senior" trip, versus allowing juniors to join, you will also, as a group, decide this as well. If juniors do decide to come, I'd like to work with volunteer programs across the world, and allow these juniors to receive community service hours (just an idea)...

If you have any questions, about anything, you may always contact us at linesoflatitude@gmail.com
or visit our website at linesoflatitude.org

So, think about your 3 favorite cities, and not only in Europe, let's really see this world we live in!
South Africa, Ireland, Russia, Australia or Vietnam....let your dreams guide you.

Remember "the loudest squeak gets the grease", so if you post a comment, you will be heard. If you don't, we can't make your dream come true....
