First Meeting

The Thursday lunch meeting met at the secret location on the bluffs.
About 35 happy seniors showed up to sign an email list, learn about the two itinerary options, receive a handout for parents to view, and were also given a few inspiring details about the summer trip.

All attendees were excited, and there were a few enthusiastic questions about the itinerary, a few jokes about their future trip, and a starry look in their eyes as the realization that their senior graduation trip is just a few months away.

There are a few steps asked of them to enroll: email linesoflatitude@gmail.com with their name and birthdate. Answer questionnaire that will be sent. Become a follower on this blogsite. Apply for a passport. Tell parents the parent meeting will be an evening in the first week of October. And to attend all future Thursday meetings. Ask around for next weeks secret location!

Thanks to all who gave their lunch hour to help make this trip the trip of a lifetime.

also:::

Now, This year: you do NOT have to take the full 25 day trip.
You can choose your cities!

Maybe some of you just want the first 3 cities, maybe some of you want the last 4 cities.
You decide what you want to see.
The beginning of the trip is relaxed, then the middle gets more "backpackerish fast"(so only real hardcore travelers should do that one).
There is also an option of SOME travelers doing the 5 cities in the middle, and others just hang out in another city, and we all meet in Venice....if you don't want to travel so quickly.
Please think thoughtfully about this "take one" route,  as it seems to fit all the responses I've received about where to travel this summer.
The cost for this 25 day trip is averaging 4500, with a huge chance of it reaching 5500.
However, 3 cities would average about 3000.
So you also have to think about what you can afford.
We will talk about all of this through out the next few weeks.
There is a meeting scheduled for September 15th. Ask around, to get the secret location.

Past Trips

Past trips have included:
